SAMS stands for Students Academic Management System. It has two components e-Admission & e-Administration. SAMS presently supports online admission for Higher Secondary, Degree, Post-graduations, ITI, Diploma, PDIS, Teacher Education, Physical Education, Dance Drama & Music & correspondence institutions.
e-Admission is nothing but online admission carried out for various courses (as answered in the ques-1) of Odisha. The detailed process of admission is explained in the information brochure available separately for different courses.

The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed on the website www.samsodisha.gov.in along with the Information brochure which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the information brochure, take print copies of the Applicant CAF and Keep it with you for further Process at the Time of Admission.
An eligible applicant can apply for B.Ed. B.H.Ed, M.Ed.
Yes. The selection will be conducted on the basis of merit & reservations. Student will be selected against the course which they have applied. Candidates Selected in both B.Ed and B.H.Ed. has to choose one course for admission and selected in other course will be considered as vacant.
CAF can't be modified once submitted, Applicant have to pay fees to print CAF.
The merit lists are published on the scheduled date & time at website www.samsodisha.gov.in for information of public. You will also be intimated your status exclusively through SMS, Email and Whatsapp (if mobile number, email address and whatsapp is provided in the CAF) about the selection status . You can also download the intimation letter from your student login.
List of the documents required is given in the Intimation Letter. Arrange all the requisites for admission such as original certificates for verification, photo, and admission fees & report to the Principal of the destination institution on the scheduled date & time.
First you need to apply CAF, then appear for OMR based test .If you are selected then download a provisional intimation letter for reporting of admission at the selected institution.
When an applicant submits CAF, he/she will be navigated to click on “choice locking” menu will be available in the applicant login. Where he/she selects an institution of his or her preference in ascending order.
When an applicant admitted in an institution and opts for higher preferences then he/she applies for Slide-up, slide up screen available in the existing student login. Applicants should opt their willingness for slide-up within the time line.
Permanently disabled PwD candidates shall be verified by the Institutions on the basis of UDID number issued by the SSEPD Department at the time of reporting for admission. The selected PwD candidates will be admitted, and shall not be referred to Medical Assessment Boards as a regular practice. The concerned principal will refer the case for verification to the nearest Medical assessment Board where the institution is located if only found UDID certificate is fake.
Colleges should transfer the admission fees of the B.Ed slide-up candidates to the college where the candidates have been admitted through slide-up without deducting admissible fees (Rs 100/-) during the process of admission only. If the amount deposited by the candidates via Demand Draft has not been drawn by the college, It should be returned to the candidates and Slide-up candidates who have been admitted to another college should apply for a fresh Demand Draft in favour of the principal of the college to they have been admitted to.
Applicants who have submitted the common application form (CAF) shall be allowed for choice locking of all institutions.
Amount will be refunded to your account mentioned in Common Application Form after the closure of admission for the academic year-2023-24
